Olympics.

It is the start of the 2016 Olympics today on august the 5th in Brazil. Rio is in Brazil where athletes compete in their race all the kind of sports like swimming,sprinting like Usain Bolt,hurdles and javelin. The Best people around the world from each country goes to the Olympics and competes who ever comes first will be the best in the whole world at the sport they are doing.

I am really excited about seeing New Zealander winning so we can be known as the best but I will still be excited if Valerie Adam's win.

Why I am I excited about learning Te Taiao O Tamaki.

I am excited about learning Te Taiao O Tamaki because I might find a Native tree or plant in my Nan's garden or even in my backyard. Native trees mean a lot to Tamaki because they naturally grow in their environment. It is very cool because they are New Zealand New Zealand's important trees.

News Paper Tower.

Walt: write a recount about our experience.

Have you ever made a tower made out of newspaper free standing? Well guess what it was no ordinary day because, our class got into group’s and made a tower out of newspaper.  It was exciting.

Mr Goodwin was showing us a video. When I saw what the video was  before he played the video, I sneakily said to my friend “I have watched this before”  in a whisper. After the video Mr Goodwin said we have to try make the tallest tower made with newspaper.  It had to be free standing. I was excited and thinking it would be easy. Until we got to building.

Mr Goodwin gave us a paper and a pencil to write our plan. It was crazy and hard to try and figure out how to make it work. When we finished plan happily we thought it would be free standed we were excited to start. I was thinking we were gonna come first place and I liked our idea.

As soon as we started my freind and cut the newspaper in quarters and the others just crunch them up in balls but as my friend was putting it together. I realize it is not gonna work. I turned around and saw the other group’s one and it was tall but I knew it will fall because they were holding it. My group starting to roll up the paper and stack it. TIME was UP Mr Goodwin said “drop the towers” everyone dropped it and the towers fell to the ground but he gave us one more chance just 2 more minutes.

I now know that next time we need something to stand the tower. I also learnt not to roll to thin other wise it will bend and fall. My group came 3rd and the group that came 1st had a tall free standing newspaper tower. The group that came 2nd rolled it up and standed it. I am glad that we came 3rd.

Task Description: In this lesson we did a writing experience it was fun, and exciting. We were eating chicken flavored noodles we also pretended they were alive slimy worms. We wrote each sentence of our introduction separately. We also marked ourselves against the rubric above.

MALO This Is My Trip To TONGA

MALO THIS IS MY TRIP TO TONGA.

I went to Tonga on the 6th of Jan I was gone for 6 days and came back to New Zealand on the 12th of Jan. I had fun as I was walking out of the plane it was hot and muggy when I got out of the plane. We went to Tonga with my aunty and my uncles family. But my uncles mum and dad lived in Tonga.

We went to Tonga for my uncles B-DAY. My uncles dad knew we were there for his birthday but he did not know that we were gonna have a special dinner and breakfast. We stayed in a hotel it wasn't really far from the Airport. My uncles mum and dad lived in Manuka but they stayed at the hotel with us.

We once went on the boat for a ride. I got wet because I sat in the real front with my uncles brother. At Tonga I saw some pig's and I also saw alot of dogs. The day before we left Tonga we went to the maket I bought a fan and a bracelet that they put my name on. I liked my bracelet very much and I liked my fan be cause it kept me cool. On that day we were leaving .

We left Tonga at 9 o'clock and arrived at NZ around midnight. When we were landing outside the window there was a beautiful view the lights were every where it was really pretty. I got Mc Donalds because I was starving. I had an amazing holiday.
