Walt - Using technical vocabulary in our writing.

Do you always drink water? If you don't I think you should. Drinking fresh water is important because everyone needs to stay hydrated and filled with water if we didn’t have water we would be dry and dehydrated and we could all dye. So in the next paragraphs below I will be explaining how bad it is to have no fresh water to drink.

Polluted water is not only dirty it is also deadly over 1.8m people die every year of diarrheal diseases like cholera. Families are living in places where they can’t provide fresh clean safe water. Water is like food if we don’t eat for a very long time we could die from starvation just like water. But where some people live they don’t get fresh water for reasons like pollutions too dry and the sun just dries all their water up.

People are dying because most people drink the unsafe water because that is all that they get to drink they drink polluted water and many people die from a disease that was in the water and also die for having no water at all most of these people live without food as well. Most of these people who live without fresh water or lives with no water and no food die and there are probably over a million people who are like this.

So make sure that you are drinking that water at home be grateful and thankful that you get fresh safe clean water unlike the people who has no water or who has polluted dirty water don’t drink the fizzy rubbish drink the water that you got at home it is good for you and it is better than some fizzy drinks be grateful of the water that you have it is better than having no water at all.

What are you guys doing drinking that sugary fizzy stuff that is bad for it may taste nice but drink the water instead. Over 1.8m people die from their polluted water. Stop littering stop polluting save these people stop polluting their ocean our ocean our sea creatures drink the safe water that you get from your tap buy the spring water from the supermarket water is much healthier and better than fizzy drinks. You should be happy unlike the other people around the world they don’t get fresh clean water like you do. Be Grateful and Thankful.

  1. You and your older brother have been given some money to buy food for you and your younger siblings for the next few days. You are tempted to buy take away, but you have to buy enough food for breakfast, lunch (for school/pre-school) and dinner for two days. I would just by food for breakfast and lunch I won’t buy take away because we need food for lunch and breakfast or else we might starve.

You are having a really bad day and feel yourself getting angry and upset. You had a small argument with a friend earlier in the day, but you are now really angry at them. The bell will be ringing in ten minutes and you will have to sit next to this friend. What could you do? Make up and say sorry.

  1. You have just changed schools and are missing your old friend and activities. At your old school you played for the school rugby team, but you have not played sport here, except for in P.E. Join rugby at the new school and show off and make friends so the others know that I am good at rugby.

4. If you were Tongan, but your parents were born and grew up in New Zealand. They taught you English since you were born so that you would find New Zealand life easier, but they did not teach you much Tongan. At school you see other students speaking Tongan and participating in Tongan clubs and dancing. Although you feel happy in New Zealand, you wish you could connect to your Tongan roots. I would learn off the website ask my parents to teach me all that they know and learn off youtube and learn dances on youtube I would also ask my friends at school to teach me how to speak tongan.

Inquiry Expo

Inquiry Expo
Kia Ora, Kia Orana, Hello and greetings, this is Paikea unfortunately I was away most fridays at school and I missed being able to create a project for the EXPO we were creating this to expose our project I was supposed to be in a group but I was away too many Fridays and wasn’t in a group I didn’t really know what anyone was doing so just finished my left over work.

Part 2--
The Idea 1 idea that would pop up in my mind would be about force when you push an object it creates force because you are forcing it to move. But I would make it more interesting and crazy in some way and a game that has to do with Force or maybe about equilibrium I would have something like a seesaw but small and when team 4 and team 5 comes look around I would say “One person on one side and the other person on the next side and see if you’s two are equal weight.” And if the people are equal that would be equilibrium and their weight is very similar.

Part 3--
Out of the two ideas I would do the equilibrium idea. I think it would be more interesting and easier to do as a project I could only pick one. So I thought the equal ide was better I would be really keen to do that and I would create a presentation with my group and put all my research and work into the presentation and have my audience read it and I would also put some information in my brain then tell the people face to face as well.

Part 4--
I think that my project would be a success and it would work perfectly or fine and it would turn out good so I believe that it would be right and it will turn out just how I want it to be like and I would only do this if my group agrees with me then it would be a good success.

Part 5--

Next time I would really want to be part of the Expo because looking outside looked very fun and exciting and people were having so much fun and the noise level was very loud and I wish I was at school on friday but I didn’t mind because creating this story was fun and a lot of precious.

Tyler's Swimming Comp!

“On your marks get set GO!” said the swimming organizer.
As Tyler dramatically dived into the swimming pool nervously.
Tyler’s heart pounded while coming up and out of the water. She gasped for air.
She sprinted the 50 meter pool like a extremely fast fish Tyler had smashed the
others and finished strongly.

Tyler was very proud her family and parents were very very proud she couldn't
be any happier in that moment. The other girls looked at her in a way to make her feel different
she had no idea what she did. Stacy her best friend walked over and said
“That was awesome you went so fast.” Tyler replied and said
“Yeah thanks but those girls are looking at me like I did something wrong.”
Stacy then said “ Who cares about them you won.”

A groups of girls were gossiping in the back room.
“Do you know that girl who swam yesterday at the swim comp.”
“Yea Tyler she was so slow you know I could beat her.” “Yeah right I could beat you and her.”  
Tyler was in the front row of the classroom waiting patiently for her classmates.
She turned her back stared at them then she turned around to the front.
Tyler heard whispers again about her Tyler stood up walked over to the bunch Tyler said
“You wanna talk about me why don’t you just say it to my face.” The girls remained silence.

On Tuesday Tyler had made a competition of her own.
She wanted to prove she is strong and she can beat the people who had said there faster than her she
made the race on a Thursday because she trains every other day. Two days later on Thursday she
was putting her cap and goggles on she was preparing to smash these gossiping girls there were
only 3 of them to beat.

“On your marks get set GO!” said Tyler’s dad. Tyler entered with a powerful confident dive,
while the others bellyfloped. “GO GO GO GO!” said Tylers mum and dad.
Tyler kicked fast and hard she pulled hard and fast she sprinted the hardest she could and had
finished under 20 seconds and took those other girls 2 minutes and 30 seconds. “Well done Tyler.”
said Stacy. Tyler replied “Thank’s.” As she huffed and puffed Tyler was so exhausted and just wanted

The day after the race. Tyler walked into her classroom a bunch of girls walked up to her and said
“Sorry for what we did you are fast and we know that you are fast you are extremely fast we just wish
that we were good like you.” Tyler said “Apology accepted but you know allI I did was lot’s of training all
the time, I can also teach you how to swim.” One of the girls said “NO thanks training all the time that
sounds HARD, were all good.” Tyler said “True I don’t like training myself it is hard but the only way
to be good, so are we friends or can we be friends.”
“Yeah of course.” All the girls replied at the same time.
Task Description: 
This is a story about a girl who has haters and who has people who love what she does .As myself I do swim and I do train all the time and it is hard and there are jealous people. If you couldn't find the problem in this story it is base on people or girls who gossip about a girl named Tyler and she is an incredible swimmer.
